Room 5 We had a wonderful stay, dinner and breakfast. There is plenty of parking to the rear of the building. Reception is manned 24/7 . The timber framed building and character have been kept. Sloping floors, low beams, and original windows though secondary glassing to keep the cold and noise out. Our room had just been decorated in a new theme, so it was feeling fresh. Dining experience was pleasant, food was amazing. Service was good considering how many table setting that evening.

Cannot rate this place enough, beautiful rooms at great prices. Lovely staff that are always friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious which is included in the stay. Food for evening meal is yummy and sophisticated. Also has great selection of drinks and cocktails

Brilliant parking out the back, if you've driven past and been put off by la k of parking in the village or dismissed it as likely too small for your event it comfortably holds a large number of people but also has smaller dining rooms you can hire so you don't rattle about! We had a festive coffee morning to celebrate my amazing team at Sunflower Shine here and felt very welcome. Space to hold a quiz and a few silly games and out of their way before the lunch time rush. Whether morning coffee, a meal or an overnight stay The Crown is the one to beat. We are so lucky to have this place close to Hadleigh, Stowmarket, Kersey, Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich in one of the most picturesque villages in the UK

I booked a Sunday night special as a birthday present for my wife and could not have been more delighted. Comfortable and characterful room and an excellent dinner, with very generous quantities of food, made for a great stay. Staff very friendly throughout. For the quality of everything I thought it provided excellent value.

Almost! Visited 6 years after my last visit. Strangely, as last time the outstanding course was the dessert. A stunning parfait! Nice greeting and sat near the fireplace. Started with mussels, 12 shells 11 mussels!? Nice enough sauce and garnish. Was given 2 bowls for shells and 2 finger bowls, didn't realise i was that messy! Main was a traditional beef roast. Meat as I requested veg ok but Yorkshire a bit too crunchy for my taste. Frankly I would have driven the 125 miles just for the sensational fig and armanac parfait. Nice staff, sweet youngster table clearer. Toilets clean and well presented.

Great experience. Stayed for the Sunday dinner bed and breakfast option. Food was some of the best I've ever tasted. The venison was perfect. Staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

The locals in the bar area prior to our meal were engaging and welcoming. A delightful meal which met our expectations and attentive staff. I would definitely recommend as a go to place for an excellent culinary experience. Looking forward to our next visit
